Merchant & Mills Pop Up - Celebrating ‘Workwear’
Labour and Wait is delighted to host Merchant & Mills to celebrate the London launch of their new book, Workwear, alongside a pop-up shop featuring their patterns and haberdashery, which will remain in store for the duration.
The Labour and Wait x Merchant & Mills pop-up celebrates the shared values at the heart of both companies: utility, craftsmanship and the enduring appeal of well-made everyday objects. Launching the new Workwear book in London, the event brings together a curated collection of garments, sewing patterns, fabrics and tools inspired by traditional British workwear and designed for modern daily life.
Specially selected by Simon and Rachel for Labour and Wait, the collection of patterns focuses on practical silhouettes cut in denim and utility cloths, reflecting a mutual appreciation for honest materials and functional design.
The idea behind Merchant & Mills is a simple one: to elevate sewing to a serious craft, worthy of quality tools and materials. We provide people with the skills, patterns and fabrics to make exceptional garments and empower them to step away from fast fashion.
